Für Elise
Ludwig van Beethoven · Für Elise3:20
Nobody knows who Elise was.
A piano by a window plays itself. Two candles stand on it: one lit, one that has never been lit.
Each E leans his flame toward her. Each D sharp strikes a spark at her cold wick.
Every one of the 1,041 notes moves its own key, its own hammer, and sends up its own mote of light.
